Half pipe manipulator

Description

An automated solution designed for the tank industry, capable of performing half pipe welding operations.

The steel column structure with a horizontal arm that slides vertically on guides allows for the welding of half pipe assemblies onto the body of tanks with diameters between 1500 mm and 4500 mm.

Variable-speed horizontal movement and fixed-speed vertical movement.

Automatic horizontal axis movement is controlled by the same 2-axis sensor that controls the entire manipulator’s movement and tracks the half pipe on the tanks.

The automatic system ensures high process repeatability and consistent quality.
